While many things remain unresolved or uncertain, one thing at Springdale Dental Centre has remained the same: our commitment to your health & safety. As you have surely seen during your visits to our office, infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our strict processes have consistently made the care you receive both safe and comfortable. Our office follows strict infection control protocols outlined by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) as well as Public Health. We continue to closely monitor the recommendations of these governing bodies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidelines that may be issued related to COVID-19 and all other infection control. In order to minimize risk and keep our patients and staff safe, our office staff has undergone additional training and we have implemented the following changes in our office.
- Prior to your appointment you will be required to complete a COVID-19 pre-screening questionnaire prior to your appointment
- Any patients feeling unwell or display any COVID-19 related symptoms will be asked to reschedule their appointment
- We have implemented text messaging to allow for easier and faster communication
- We ask that you sanitize your hands upon entering the office and come to the office wearing a mask that covers your nose and mouth. If you do not have a mask, we can provide one for you
- All dental staff are outfitted in the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face shield, mask, gown, gloves and head covering
- Patients are asked to come to their appointments unaccompanied. As we try to keep the number of people in our office to a minimum, there are no exceptions to this unless the patient is a minor or requires assistance
- We ask all patients to adhere to social distancing measures as indicated in our reception area and throughout the office
- All treatment rooms, equipment and instruments are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before and after each patient
- We no longer have magazines or toys in our waiting room as these items are difficult to clean on a regular basis
- Our reception and high traffic areas are disinfected throughout the day
- All operatories are sealed and contained and are equipped with individual air purifiers
- To help minimize risk, we are also asking patients for contactless payment. Our preferred method of payment is Visa, MasterCard or Debit if possible
